Onboard with Greg 'Crutsy' Mercier and the ACOL Skylights 'shark' in Unlimited Superboat during the final round of the V8 Superboats Australian Championships from Hi-Tec Oils Pty Ltd Park in Temora.. Great drive, second for Crusty and third for Phil Dixon who also had a run in the boat after his machine suffered major engine failure at round four.

Coming into the final round of the 2011 Tyreright Australian Superboat Championships, Greg ‘Crusty’ Mercier was quietly confident about his chances on what would be a busy and demanding rotation on Hi-Tec Oils Park at Temora.

“We’ve done some homework, we’ve ironed out the bugs and I’ve got an ‘ace’ B-driver to help me improve my performance,” he laughed alluding to former champion Phil Dixon with whom he’d offered to share the drive in the ACOL Skylights machine for the final round.

After a frustrating start to his maiden Unlimited Superboat season, Greg ‘Crusty’ Mercier was full of hope ahead of the 2011 Tyreright Australian Superboat Championships, and despite showing the kind of pace that could well have won the ‘Az U Do Racing’ team its first national round at Cabarita, Mercier admits that whilst it didn’t happen, it’s not far away.
